The P’egp’íg’lha Guardians are Brandon Barney and Sam Copeland. Together they patrol T’it’q’et area of interests. They keep a running number of recreational users on the land, loggers, hunters, and to see if the St’at’imc continue to use the land.
Brandon Barney has worked a number of projects with the P’egp’íg’lha Council (PC) over the years, with the most recent being the BCCI Trails project in 2018, and delivering home kits with LRISS (Lillooet Regional Invasive Species Society) in 2019. Brandon has experience in fire fighting, tree falling, and heritage work.
Sam Copeland has sat on the PC Referral Committee for a number of years, and brings with him many years of forestry and heritage field monitor experience. Sam has traveled through most of the St’at’imc Territory, and brings that knowledge with him while patrolling the Northern St’at’imc Territory.
